WHAT'S HAPPENING AT ST. PATRICK'S
STEM NEWS
Students in F-2 finalised their learning about animals and their adaptations. Students investigated beaks, feathers and feet last term and on our first lesson back, we created nests to conclude our learning. This was fantastic to see all the students engaged and concentrating on their nest. A super job, well done!
Students from 3-6 will also be finalising their learning from last term. They did a sensational job at researching different types of mushrooms. They have made a mini plasticine representation of their mushroom.
In STEM our next topic will be to begin looking at space and moving into looking after the Earth's resources. This will also touch on sustainability & recycling. We have a special visitor, Sharon Ray from the Wellington Shire to share her knowledge about waste management with the students.
I look forward to sharing more information with you during the term.
Also a note to parents- if anyone knows of anyone with a rock collection, or fossils, or geologists or rock collectors in the area. I would love to hear from you!

LIONS CLUB SPEECHES
Congratulations to all the children that took part in the Lions Club Speeches. The students all worked hard and wrote some great speeches. Will Longmuir and Lilly Cherry were chosen to present their speeches in the next round.
