WHAT'S HAPPENING AT ST. PATRICK'S

Chick Hatching Success in the STEM Room!
Exciting news from our STEM classroom—we've successfully incubated and hatched our very own chicks! Students have been absolutely captivated, watching with wonder as the eggs slowly cracked open in the incubator. The anticipation turned into pure joy as the first fluffy, adorable chick made its grand entrance into the world!
From observing the delicate hatching process to now caring for our newest tiny class member, this hands-on experience has sparked curiosity, empathy, and so many smiles. It’s been a magical moment in the classroom.

A Wild Adventure with Reptile Encounters!
On Wednesday and Thursday, students from Foundation, Grade 1, and Grade 2 embarked on an unforgettable journey into the world of reptiles during our Reptile Encounters Incursion!
Our enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable presenter, Nick, brought along an amazing lineup of scaly, slithery, and surprising creatures. Students got up close with a towering Goliath stick insect, a curious turtle, a vibrant green tree frog, a striking Northern blue tongue lizard, a dramatic frilled-neck lizard, a graceful woma python, and not one, but two pythons—including one ironically named Tiny (who was anything but!). The grand finale? A real, live freshwater crocodile named Snappy!
From wide eyes to excited whispers and brave pats, the students were absolutely captivated. The experience sparked curiosity, wonder, and maybe a little bit of courage! It was a truly wild adventure—one they’ll be talking about for a long time to come.
