PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
It has been a busy, yet highly successful term at St Patrick’s. This week you will have received your child’s Semester One student report. These can be accessed via the Parent Access Module (PAM) on the SIMON platform. The student report provides an update on your child’s progress throughout the semester and provides a general comment about their approach to schooling, as well as outlining what they have achieved in each of the key learning areas. Your child has also been assessed against the standards of the Victorian Curriculum and have been graded with reference to the work that they have produced and what they have achieved. I encourage you to read this report with your child and celebrate their achievements so far this year. Parent/Teacher Interviews will be scheduled during Term 3, which provide you with an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and achievements and ask your child’s teacher any questions that you may have.

Building Project Update
The proposed building project has recently been slowly ticking along in the background. The tendering process closed a couple of weeks ago, with us receiving five quotes from different construction companies. The quotes outlined the proposed work, cost, timeline, and methodology to complete the project. The architects are currently reviewing the tender applications of two of these companies and a decision on which company has been successful in their application will be made in the coming weeks. Following this, it is hoped that works will begin during next term.
Year 5/6 Urban Camp
This Wednesday, Thursday and Friday our Year 5/6’s will attend Urban Camp in Melbourne. The program for the three days is as follows:
It will be an action packed few days that we know the students will thoroughly enjoy! We will have photos and a report in a newsletter early next term.
I hope that you all have an enjoyable holiday period and get to spend some time together as a family. I look forward to seeing you all next term.
Kind regards,
Joel
