LIBRARY NEWS
National Simultaneous Storytime 2024.
Next Wednesday, St Patrick’s will participate in the annual National Simultaneous Storytime. This initiative by ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association), encourages the enjoyment of reading and each year there is a different picture book chosen to represent NSS. Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker is this year’s book.
“When we read together it helps language development, learning and literacy, all while building community. It’s also a lot of fun.” said ALIA Acting CEO Trish Hepworth.
We look forward to listening in on Wednesday at 12 noon knowing approximately 2 million children in Australia, New Zealand and around the world are enjoying Bowerbird Blues being read to them at the same time.
