Dear Families,

It's incredible to believe we are approaching the last few weeks of Term 1!  Our Foundation students have commenced full time attendance and are settling beautifully into the routines of school.  Across the school there is a level of engagement and enthusiasm that is a credit to all students and staff. 

Next Wednesday we celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  Similar to last year this a students and staff day rather than a full community celebration.  Students and staff will celebrate mass at the start of the day then participate in some activities to celebrate the day.  Our Juniors will then head off to the Wedge in Sale to see the Gruffalo's Child.

This week we have reminded students about the importance of 'keeping our hands and feet to ourselves'.  This is in response to incidents that have occured in the playground over the last couple of weeks.  This will be a focus with the students for the remainder of the term and we would appreciate families reminding children of the importance of safe play at school.

Parent teacher meetings are set for later in the term.  These meetings are a formal opportunity to discuss your child's progress so far this year and raise any questions or concerns.  All families are encouraged to make an appointment using the booking details outlined later in the newsletter.  While parent teacher meetings are an important chance to meet with your child's teacher, families are reminded not to wait for these meetings if an issue does arise.  The first port of call when you have a question or concern should always be to the classroom teacher and this can easily be done via dojo, email, phone call or in person.
